BREAKING NEWS

I have just finsihed composing a set of nine pieces based on the nine Enneagram types. This set of pieces is socred for clarinet, violin, cello and piano, the same instrumentation as Messiaen's famous Quartet for the End of Time. Watch this space for news of possible performances.

 

 

 

 

 

 

I led a day school on the Enneagram and music in May 2016 for a group called Anam Cara. Here is some feedback :

I found the work in pairs particularly valuable and time allowed for this was perfect. I’m pleased he didn’t try to cover all nine types and recognised early on that his material would need to be adapted and edited. For me it just left a slight disappointment that we hadn’t covered all the types but all in all the day felt very satisfying and nourishing, and gave me enough to go on thinking about.

I thought the day with Andrew was hugely worthwhile and thank you so much for organising it.  As someone with only a rudimentary knowledge of the Enneagram, it was certainly a voyage of discovery and very challenging at times. 

Listening to the music (Andrew) played helped me to make a gut/emotional response without words and intellectualising getting in the way.

I am currently planning a weekend workshop for June 9th - 11th 2017 in Bottesford, Nottinghamshire to take this work forward to a new level. More details to follow soon.

 

EQUAL TEMPERAMENT : TRANSFORMATIVE MUSIC FOR TROUBLED TIMES

This residential weekend in a beautiful, safe and peaceful setting for a small group will give the opportunity to :

 

*Listen to specially chosen pieces of music, some played live on piano, with a view to 

* Deepening our awareness of how the Nine Windows of the Soul mapped out in the Enneagram can transform our perception of one another and the world around us.

Our accommodation is in the house where the course is being held and includes both single spaces and shared spaces.

All food is included except for our Saturday evening meal which will be taken at a local cafe or restuarant.

UPDATE   Unfortunately this event was cancelled - there were not enough people interested. I will develop this idea further and hope to put the weekend on in 2018.
